We currently have at least TEN new guests as well as some familiar faces. You all liked the licensing presentation so much we had to invite Allison Cole back!
The most challenging part of making the class was trying to fit all the interviews, live sessions, drawing nights, and other meet-ups into SIX weeks. So, I decided to extend the class by
TWO FULL BONUS WEEKS!
That means that in addition to six weeks of videos from me, you’ll also get more than 12 hours of LIVE events to attend. (oh, wait. You’ll also get more than four hours of previously recorded interviews.)

This year we are also adding more drawing events! I love talking about the business of illustration (it’s kind of the whole point of the class!), but sometimes it’s nice to turn off that part of your brain and just make art. So, this year I’ll be offering some shorter live sessions where we just meet up and make art and talk about…well, whatever comes up!
ACCOUNTABILITY.
Being a part of a community is THE BEST way to get energized to make new work. Plus, sometimes, we all need a little push to follow through with reaching out to Art Directors, finishing up our websites, and updating our portfolios.
All lessons in Getting Paid to Draw are designed to be repeated. If you still have projects you’ve wanted to finish, joining this group is the best way to push yourself to get them DONE and in the hands of Art Directors looking to commission art.
Welcome to the 2024 Community Center.
The community center was such an incredible part of last year’s course. We created and shared tons of new work, but more importantly built a strong community of other illustrators. We shared tips, suggestions for art supplies, links, and much more.
