Hello everyone!
I’m so excited you are here. This is our meeting place for all things GPTD!
Over the next 8 weeks, I encourage you to share your work, ideas, and input with the other students here. The community center is a great place to give and receive feedback and make new connections.
After you read through this, be sure to introduce yourself in the Challenges section. There's a challenge called "Introduce Yourself."
But first!
Please take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the Community Center.
Adjust your settings
You will find the settings in the top-right corner. Here you can add some info to your profile, and you will have the option to set your preferences for notifications.
By default, you are set to receive a notification whenever someone posts, so feel free to adjust that to avoid too many emails.
Join the Town Hall.
The Town Hall (bottom left) is the area to chat and discuss anything illustration-related! Find a new pen that you love? Come across an illustration event or competition that might be a good fit for other students? Post it in the town hall.
Sketchbook Club!
I have found that one of the best ways to find your voice is to keep a daily sketchbook. I encourage you to try it during the class! There's a special section for you to show off your sketchbook pages.
Challenges!
And most importantly, check out the challenges in the menu. To take part in a Challenge, you will need to join it and then complete it by writing and/or uploading an image.
